Activity Level – Siberian Huskies are an active breed and require a lot of daily exercise in order to keep him happy and healthy.

Barking- Siberian Huskies aren’t known for being a “barking breed”. Instead, Siberians are known to whine or moan depending on how he feels. There is no other sound quite like a Siberian Husky howl!
Shedding – Siberian Huskies shed all throughout the year, twice a year (usually during spring and fall) his coat will go through a phase called “blowing coat” which is exactly what sounds like lots of hair and lots of shedding almost like its snowing grey hair. That being said Siberian Huskies are generally very easy to groom. During shedding season brushing your huskie at least once a day will avoid access hair on furniture and clothing, outside of shedding season it is recommended that you brush your huskie once a week. Siberian Huskies are very clean dogs with little to no odor whatsoever.
Family Friendly- Siberian Huskies are an affectionate and good-natured breed. Typically good with children although it is recommended that young children are never left alone with any breed. Since Huskies don’t make the best watchdogs they tend to love everybody and aren’t overly suspicious of new people.
Pet-Friendly- Siberian Huskies do very well in homes with multiple pets and aren’t known for being food aggressive.
Breed Origins – The Siberian Husky is thought to be one of the oldest dog breeds bred about 3,000 years ago by the nomadic Indian tribe Chukchi for the purpose of sledding. They were brought to North America around the turn of the 20th traders by fur traders serving as both sled dogs and a loyal companion.
